Dear Friends,
There are times in life when opportunities for great achievement are placed in front of us with no need to search them out. Such an opportunity has been placed before us at this time. The question is: how will we respond? Once upon a time, close to three years ago, our beloved Shul was born as a Friday night and motzei Shabbos minyan. The opportunity to add a minyan was there, and the community members grabbed it. As the community grew, the need for independence and a larger home became apparent. Again, the opportunity was grabbed and Bais Meir Yehudah, was born as we moved into our current location. Now, once again, we have outgrown our space. Under the leadership of our esteemed Mora D’asra, Rabbi Moshe Radner, our President, Eli Seligson and an outstanding Board, we are seizing the opportunity in front of us. We have a new location under contract right down the block from the Shul.
But we are far from done! We still need the help and participation of every single member of our Shul and from our extended families and friends, within the Metro Detroit community and beyond. We need room to allow our children to grow, to have proper age appropriate Shul experiences from birth to Bar Mitzvah and beyond. Our Shul motto is “a warm place committed to spiritual development.” Right now the time has come for a physical manifestation of that spiritual development. It is time to seize the opportunity. We must grab this opportunity! Get Excited! Be Inspired! Our future has the potential to be awesome! This can only happen, however, with your involvement. As an active member of our shul, I encourage everyone to get involved. We need your contributions, both physical and financial, for this campaign to be successful. There is much that we all can do. Please approach or contact me to see how you can participate in shaping our future. May your assistance bring health, happiness, success, and growth for you and your family, and to each and every one of us individually and communally!
Sincerely,
Yitz Pierce
